Following its takeover and operation of Ham Tan Sow Farm, Khanh Han Group has marked an important milestone by completing its first shipment of 300 piglets, safely transported to other farms within the system.

Ham Tan Sow Farm is one of Khanh Han Group's strategic projects in high-tech livestock farming, with a total herd of 2,400 sows and a projected annual output of nearly 70,000 piglets. This marks an important step in Khanh Han Group's journey to expand its farm network, working toward a stable, large-scale, high-tech piglet supply chain.

Enclosed Housing System With Strict Biosecurity Control

Piglets at Ham Tan farm are raised in a modern, enclosed housing system with strict biosecurity control. The herd is regularly health-monitored and follows a routine vaccination schedule, helping piglets grow evenly, stay active, and adapt well to the next stage of rearing.

Piglets are weaned at 23 to 24 days old, reaching an average weight of about 7kg each, with 94-96% of the herd meeting standard. These are key technical indicators reflecting the effectiveness of the enclosed farming process Khanh Han Group applies at the farm.

Each sow and her litter are housed in their own individual pen, built with a sturdy steel-bar frame and anti-slip plastic flooring to help prevent injury to piglets, along with a heat lamp system that keeps newborn piglets warm and supports sterilization - ensuring the best possible care during their first days of life.

Early Results From The First Shipment

This shipment of 300 piglets marks the first concrete result, demonstrating the stable operational performance of Ham Tan farm in just the first few weeks since takeover. The entire transport process to receiving farms followed strict biosecurity protocols to minimize risk throughout the journey.
