HAM TAN PIG FARM – A STRATEGIC STEP FOR KHANH HAN GROUP IN HIGH-TECH LIVESTOCK FARMING

Located in Dong Thanh Hamlet, Tan Ha Commune, Lam Dong Province, Ham Tan Pig Farm marks a strategic step for Khanh Han Group in its development of high-tech livestock farming and circular agriculture.

Covering a total area of 54 hectares with a planned capacity of 2,400 sows, the farm is systematically and scientifically planned as an independent farming complex, aiming to establish a modern, efficient, safe, and sustainable livestock production model.

CLOSED-HOUSE FARMING SYSTEM

The farm is developed with a closed-house livestock system, with specialized areas separated according to different stages of animal care and reproduction.

The planned facility includes 6 farrowing barns, 4 gestation barns, and 1 boar barn, with dedicated areas designed to support herd management, animal care, and reproductive control.

The farming environment is automatically controlled through systems regulating temperature, lighting, and housing conditions, helping maintain a stable environment, minimize the impact of external weather conditions, and improve conditions for herd care.

INTEGRATED INFRASTRUCTURE – OPERATIONAL READINESS

In addition to the livestock housing system, Ham Tan Pig Farm is equipped with comprehensive infrastructure supporting production and daily operations, including 2 water reservoirs, a high-capacity backup generator, offices, dining facilities, laundry facilities, staff accommodation, feed storage, veterinary medicine storage, and maintenance facilities.

The 2 water reservoirs help secure a stable water supply for production activities, while the high-capacity backup generator supports essential systems whenever required.

BIOSECURITY

Biosecurity and personnel control are key priorities in the operation of the farm. A dedicated personnel quarantine area is provided, and employees are required to complete inspection procedures and the prescribed quarantine period before entering the production area.

The separation of functional areas and controlled access procedures help minimize potential external impacts on the livestock production environment.

3 BIOGAS DIGESTERS – TOWARDS CIRCULAR AGRICULTURE

Alongside production efficiency, Khanh Han Group focuses on developing the farm toward environmental sustainability and efficient resource utilization.

The farm is equipped with 3 biogas digesters to process livestock waste while also aiming to utilize waste as an energy resource. This approach contributes to reducing environmental impacts and provides a foundation for a circular agriculture model, connecting production activities with waste management and efficient resource utilization.
